SERDP and ESTCP actively contribute to improving installation infrastructure resilience by providing DoD installations with tools aimed at defining DoD’s exposure to hazards from climate change, insight to understanding DoD’s sensitivity to those hazards, and knowledge, tools, and technologies that build adaptive capacity with greater resilience to climate change and extreme weather events.
Under the auspices of SERDP and ESTCP, the Coastal Assessment Regional Scenario Working Group (CARSWG) produced the Regional Sea Level Scenarios for Coastal Management report and associated web-based DoD Regional Sea Level (DRSL) database. DRSL is now mandated for use in DoD installation master planning and civil engineering design for all coastal locations.
